XSHOOTER spectrophotometric standard stars

The X-shooter calibration plan consists of a number of fully flux-calibrated available spectrophotometric standard stars, see the table below. We have an observatory dedicated queue which contains the IFU and SLT OBs for each of the standard stars listed. The used slit width is 5 arcsec. The readout mode is 100kHz,1x1,high in both the UVB and VIS arms. Users interested in specphot observations with different slit widths and readout modes, or with a different strategy than those adopted in the instrument calibration plan, should request the necessary telescope time during phase 1 and provide the OBs at phase 2.

GD71 and GD153 are HST fundamental flux standards. By clicking on their star name, you can retrieve the corresponding flux table from the STScI Calibration Data Base.

The flux tables of the stars used in the calibration plan are available in VIZIER.
