STEEL: International PhD School on Science and Technology with the E-ELT

AIM OF THE SCHOOL

INAF, ESO and FP7-OPTICON are organizing the International School of Astrophysics "F. Lucchin" on "Science and Technology with the E-ELT" for PhD students and young researchers. The School will be held at the EMFCSC (Ettore Majorana Foundation and Centre for Scientific Culture) in Erice (Sicily) from October 8 to 20, 2015.

This is the first International School entirely devoted to the E-ELT, covering Science, Technology and Methodology. Moreover, we are planning tutorial sessions in the afternoon.

The aim of the School is to provide a comprehensive training in both science and the technologies used to deliver astronomical results. Further details about the School topics can be found on the web page of the School.

The School is open to Master and PhD students and young researchers. Places are available for around 80-100 participants.

REGISTRATION AND DEADLINES

The deadline for pre-registration is *Friday, June 28th, 2015*.

Pre-registered participants will be contacted by the School in order to arrange the details of their stay.

A certain number of grants might be available to partially cover the School cost. Details will be circulated together with the second announcement.
