Observations of Brown Dwarfs in young clusters
The study of brown dwarfs in young stellar clusters provides an effective avenue for constraining models of brown dwarf formation and early evolution. In this talk, I will present a comprehensive overview of the observational studies on brown dwarfs within young stellar clusters. I will highlight key findings in the characterization of their initial mass function, circumstellar disk properties, kinematic and spatial distributions and multiplicity. Additionally, I will discuss recent observational results exploring the impact of environmental factors on brown dwarf formation, and the identification and characterization of the population of young brown dwarfs with masses comparable to that of giant planets.
