Transverse clues on the kpc-scale structure of the cool CGM.

The kpc-scale kinematic and density structure of the CGM remains poorly constrained observationally, which poses a problem to validate the theory of the baryon cycle. In this talk I will present new arc-tomographic data of CIV absorption at z~2. Along with a simple kinematic model, these data are able to constrain the level of gas clumpiness of the enriched CGM and provide clues to their origin.
