We present chemical abundances of forty newly discovered bright (V< 12mag ) metal-poor stars from the HESP-GOMPA (Hanle Echelle SPectrograph—Galactic survey Of Metal-Poor stArs) Survey observed in the recent 1.5 years. Most of these targets fall in the metallicity range of -2.5 to -1.5. This is an interesting metallicity where there is a significant change in the abundance trends of key elements indicating major milestones in the galaxy evolution or operation of new nucleosynthesis sites. The formation of the majority of thick disk and inner halo stars also falls in this metallicity range. We present detailed elemental abundances including several n-capture elements that have the potential to constraint ages, along with the kinematics of these stars to compare the chemical and kinematical origins of them. Many of these bright stars with detailed abundances could form benchmark stars for future metal-poor star surveys.
