Travelling to Ischia
The conference location is Hotel Continental Terme in Ischia Porto, the main village on the island of Ischia. Ischia is a volcanic island in the Tyrrhenian Sea, at the northern end of the Gulf of Naples. It lies about 30 km from Naples and measures around 10 km east to west and 7 km north to south. It is almost entirely mountainous, with the highest peak being Monte Epomeo at 788 meters.
Ischia is most easily reached from Naples, which has an international airport (Napoli Capodichino, NAP) and is well-served by the Italian railway network (Trenitalia). Ferries and hydrofoils run from two ports in Naples - Beverello and Mergellina.
Taking a traghetto - boat - is slower (~ 1 hour) and cheaper than choosing a hydrofoil (aliscafo), which makes the trip in about 45 minutes. Different companies run services, but the information and booking desks are close together so you can arrive and take your pick. Prices vary from approximately € 12 - € 17 each way, plus € 3 for each luggage, depending on which service you take. The Hotel Continental Terme will provide a transportation service from Napoli airport or Napoli train station to the hotel in Ischia Porto. The travel will take in total about 2 hours (45 minutes/1 hour only for the ferry).
The rates include the ferry/hydrofoil ticket and are:
85 Euro per person one way (plus 10% VAT)
50 Euro per person one way for groups of 2-3 (plus 10% VAT)
45 Euro per person one way for groups of 4 (plus 10% VAT)

Presentations & Posters
We will have available in the meeting room a Windows laptop and a Mac laptop with standard presentation software. Please bring your presentation on a memory stick (pdf preferred) and give it to one of the organizers well before the session in which you talk. Using your own laptop is strongly discouraged.
Internet
Free wireless connection is available in the conference room and in the area around it. You will have to pay for the wireless connection in your room.
Lunch & Dinner
You could have meals at the Hotel Continental Terme reserving half- or full board in advance, or paying each time for your meal. Otherwise, we suggest you to have lunch or dinner in one of the many restaurants in Ischia Porto.
Workshop Dinner
The workshop Dinner will take place at Hotel Continental on Thursday evening, September the 1st, from 21:00. All workshop participants are invited to join, without additional charge. The cost for accompanying persons is EUR 65 which can be paid at the following URL:
