CONCERTO Commissioning
The CONCERTO instrument was installed on APEX in April 2021, and was commissioned from April to August 2021. The commissioning was exceptionally smooth thanks to the remote operations design of the instrument. The commissioning observations mainly concentrated on bright sources for pointing, focus, and beam maps, but also on verifying observing techniques using different observing patterns (rasters of spirals and on-the-fly maps with varying scanning speeds). Commissioning data were taken both in the photometric and spectroscopic modes. A data reduction pipeline is under development by the CONCERTO instrument team, but initial results can already be obtained with the BoA software.
