Travelling to Garching
Garching lies about 13 km north-east of Munich and 17 km south-west of Munich international airport (Franz Josef Strauss). Please follow these instructions to travel to Garching.

Travelling to the workshop venue
We advise all participants to travel to the workshop venue with the subway (U-Bahn), line U6. The subway (U-Bahn) station in Garching is indicated with a large blue "U"-sign, centrally located and within close reach of the Garching hotels. Take the subway (U-Bahn) line U6, with destination "Garching Forschungszentrum" (Garching Research Campus) - this is the last stop on the line. Exit the station at the rear end of the train and follow the sign for ESO (see also this map). Here is some more information on the use of public transportation.

The workshop will be held in the new ESO Auditorium (Eridanus), Karl-Schwarzschild-Str. 2, Garching near Munich.
Registration will take place on Monday, 17 June in front of the new Auditorium (Eridanus) from 12:00-13:00.
Poster papers will be on display from Monday afternoon until the end of the workshop in the area in front of the new Auditorium Eridanus, around the round glass tower opposite the meeting rooms Pavo and Tucana, close to the registration desk.

Welcome reception (Beer & Brezn)
In the Eridanus Foyer (the foyer of the workshop venue) on Monday, 17 June after the last session at 18:00. All workshop participants are invited to join, without any charge.
Lunches are neither provided on Tuesday, 18 June nor on Wednesday, 19 June. Attendees can e.g. visit the Max-Planck canteen and pay for their lunches themselves.
On Thursday, 20 June (which is a holiday in Bavaria) a buffet lunch will be provided in the Eridanus Foyer, free of charge. Special dietary requirements will be taken care of. All workshop participants are invited to join free of charge.
There are banks and cash-points in Garching. All main credit and debit cards are accepted (with PIN code), but sometimes cash is needed in some shops or restaurants. Please note that the banks may close during lunch time and have otherwise opening hours grossly different from shops.
