Sciops Data and Disk Space Management


All the $INS_ROOT/SYSTEM/DETDATA/ <instrument>*.fits raw data files are automatically transfered to the DHS, NGAS, DVD, OFFLINE and PIPELINE workstations by DFS process. Daily task are shown in the following table:

    The yyyy-mm-dd is the begging of the previous night date.

Night by Night Visitor Mode Backup

Observers have the OFFLINE stations to run either their own reduction procedures or any other provided by the instrument science support Astronomer. Available backup media are dvds or USB disk and it is the user responsibility. IT and TIOs will provide the needed media and commands help.
