The beginnings of the ELT dome
Three workers installing scaffolds to construct the walls of the ELT dome at Cerro Armazones, Chile. Once completed the dome will be about 80 metres high and have a diameter of about 88 metres, giving it a footprint roughly equivalent to that of a football pitch.
