No room at the Residencia

The ALMA residencia can be seen in the background behind this grazing donkey. The new residencia provides accommodation for the astronomers who come here to access ALMA's remarkable sensitivity to millimetre and submillimetre wavelengths for studying the cool Universe. Astronomers use it to study the building blocks of stars, planetary systems, galaxies and life itself, addressing some of the deepest questions of our cosmic origins.
