An alien light

The alien light visible in this image is a zodiacal light. This roughly triangular diffuse white glow is caused by sunlight scattered by space dust on the zodiacal cloud. The light is so faint that light pollution or moonlight makes it invisible. Because of the immense light pollution in central Europe and close to urban areas all around the world, it is hardly ever seen in these areas.
