Stars above the Paranal Residencia

This short timelapse shows stars wheeling over the Residencia, ESO's accommodation facility at Paranal Observatory. The facility, known as an "oasis for astronomers" is designed to provide a hospitable, refreshing atmosphere between shifts, and is equipped with a pool, library, cinema and a pool set beneath a 35-m glass dome.
