Deserted
The main building of the ALMA residencia, where astronomers will be hosted during their time taking observations with the telescope. The residencia is located at an altitude of 3000 metres, still 2000 metres lower than ALMA itself, which sits on the Chajnantor Plateau. The building has been carefully designed to blend in with the surrounding desert landscape.
