IAU's 26th General Assembly 2006
The International Astronomical Union (IAU) convened its 26th General Assembly in Czechia capital of Prague in August 2006. The IAU is the body charged with, among other tasks, establishing international nomenclature standards and assigning designations to celestial bodies and surface features on them.
