ALMA transporter

One of ALMA's two transporters carries an antenna to a new location on the Chajnantor plateau.

Each of these vehicles is 20 metres long, 10 metres wide and 6 metres high, and has 28 tyres. Even empty, the vehicles weigh in at 130 tonnes apiece.
