Paranal panorama

This panorama image shows the top of Cerro Paranal, home of the Very Large Telescope, which consists out of four large Unit telescopes — each containing a 8.2 metre main mirror — and four Auxilary Telescopes. The size and the technical equipment of the telescopes, makes it one of the most advanced observatories in the world.
