Road to Paranal
A road snakes and twists through the Martian-like landscape of the Chilean desert, leading up to a peak atop which sits ESO's Very Large Telescope (VLT). Rocks, boulders and rarely trodden paths litter the harsh desert landscape around ESO's Paranal Observatory.
