Picturesque Paranal
Among the most innovative and powerful telescopes in the world, ESO's Very Large Telescope (VLT) at Paranal Observatory in Chile can observe the Universe in stunning detail. The larger telescopes are Unit Telescopes (UTs), while the smaller ones, with rounded tops, are Auxiliary Telescopes (ATs). The ATs are positioned on rails, and can be moved around the observatory to get a better view on the Universe.
