AEM Consortium’s facility
This 360 degree panorama view shows the AEM Consortium’s facility where the European antennas for the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA) are assembled and tested. Some of the 25 European antennas can be seen, with each antenna having a dish 12 metres in diameter, and a weight of about 95 tonnes.
In the background is the ALMA Operations Support Facility (OSF) site where the antennae are integrated into the rest of the observatory's systems.
