Inside the ALMA Residencia

Inside the recently-completed ALMA Residencia, which serves as lodgings for staff and astronomers visiting to study the Universe with the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA). With leisure facilities including a library, spa with gym, swimming pool and sauna, the Residencia is designed to provide a relaxing and pleasant living space to balance the harsh desert surroundings and the challenging working hours of many of the residents.
