Night sky at La Silla
This time-lapse shows the passage of the stars across the night sky, with the La Silla site barely illuminated below. The domes of the telescopes rotate as the astronomers and technicians move the telescopes to point at different patches of the sky.
Material has been obtained by ESO photo ambassador José Joaquín Pérez.
