La Silla's pride and joy
ESO's La Silla Observatory, located in northern Chile, is home to many telescopes. Out of the rocky landscape, the Observatory's pride and joy are shown — ESO's New Technology Telescope (NTT) and ESO's 3.6-metre telescope, seen on the highest peak in the image.
