The ELT dome under construction
The construction site of ESO’s Extremely Large Telescope (ELT) is busy, with the frame of the dome expected to be completed by the end of 2023. This monumental structure is the largest telescope dome ever built, only fitting to protect what will be the world’s biggest eye on the sky.
