Test of the VLTI instrument VINCI at ESO Headquarters Optical Lab

This photo shows the various components of the complex VINCI instrument for the VLT Interferometer, during the tests that took place at the Optical Laboratory at the ESO Headquarters in Garching (Germany). It was later be installed in "clean-room" conditions within the Interferometric Laboratory at the Paranal Observatory.
