Swedish–ESO Submillimetre Telescope
The Swedish–ESO Submillimetre Telescope, now decomissioned, was a 15-metre radio telescope located at the La Silla observatory in Chile. It was built as part of a combined project between ESO and the Swedish Natural Science Research Council (NFR). It was the only large sub-millimetre telescope in the southern hemisphere at the time of first light. This photo was taken on 2 July 2019 during the event of the total solar eclipse.
