Paranal Observatory
The telescope array of the Next-Generation Transit Survey (NGTS) is watched over by ESO's Visible and Infrared Survey Telescope for Astronomy (VISTA) and Very Large Telescope (VLT). The foreground lights of vehicles traversing the mountain roads are seen below background star trails.
