Following the ongoing ramp-up to minimal science operations at Paranal, La Silla and APEX, observations with MUSE have resumed, and the instrument is now available for Director's Discretionary Time proposals.

Operations with MUSE have restarted as of 26 October. Due to operational constraints at the observatory derived from the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic only the Wide Field Mode (WFM), without Adaptive Optics, is available until further notice.

The next instruments expected to become operational again are ESPRESSO and SPHERE in mid-November, subjected to the evolution of the ramp-up and to the situation in Chile regarding the pandemic. The latest information about the impact of Covid-19 on the La Silla Paranal Observatory is available, as well as the updated list of instruments currently in operation.
