The 103rd Observing Programmes Committee (OPC) met on 20-22 November 2018. A total of 1082 (10-hour equivalent) nights of Visitor Mode and Service Mode observations were allocated on the VLT/VLTI, VISTA, VST, the 3.6-metre and NTT, and APEX telescopes. The submission deadline for Phase 2 Service Mode observations is Thursday 7 February, 2019; see the separate announcement for further details.
Period 103 Telescope Allocation

On the VLT, the balance between Visitor and Service Mode in Period 103 was about 34/66, excluding filler programmes. New and ongoing Large Programmes on the VLT occupy about 11% of the allocation. The time committed to Large Programmes on the 3.6-metre and NTT is 62% and 25%, respectively.
The outcome of the time allocation was communicated to the Principal Investigators of proposals submitted for Period 103 on Friday 21 December, 2018.
