A new data release of science products resulting from the VPHAS+ (VST Photometric Hα Survey of the Southern Galactic Plane and Bulge) Public Survey is now available via the dedicated Phase 3 query interface at the ESO Science Archive Facility.

The latest release (DR3) of VPHAS+ adds the science products (images and source lists) from 24 months of observations, in the time interval 01 October 2013 to 10 September 2015. The cumulative area coverage of the VPHAS+ products now amounts to 43% of the entire survey footprint, which was observed to desired image quality. The aim of VPHAS+ DR3 is to maximize the publicly available data, hence supplying the complete filter coverage for as many fields as possible. With this release a total area of about 364 square degrees is now covered in all survey filters (u, g, r, i, Hα) in the Galactic Plane and Bulge, and about 200 square degrees are also available in either the red or blue filters only.

Reduced images, weight-maps and single-band source lists are provided for a total volume of 1.4TB. The VPHAS+ public survey DR3 data release is accompanied by a comprehensive description.
