Abstract
In this talk I will first present the main questions that solar
astronomers are facing, like those around the solar dynamo or the
dynamics of the solar surface or solar atmosphere. Then, I shall briefly
review the observational strategy that is currently underway with the
various instruments, both on the ground and in space, that are presently
operated, and the trends in this domain. The kind of data that can be
collected and the processing they need will also be presented. Finally,
the numerical simulations that are developed to understand the various
phenomena displayed by the Sun will also be reviewed as well as the
problems of data management that they rise.Paper ID: I10
