Our interactive "LEGO ALMA" gives people an intuitive introduction to interferometry and ALMA's capabilities.

At this year's annual meeting of the German Astronomical Society (AG), from 9th to 13th September in Cologne, the German ARC Node was present with an exhibition stand. More than 300 attendees from the broad German astronomical community had the opportunity to get an intuitive introduction to radio interferometric methods using our interactive "LEGO-ALMA" model, and stay informed about the capabilities of ALMA and the services provided by the European ARC Nodes. The exhibit was met with enthusiastic response from the community, who designed a variety of creative configurations to observe their favourite objects. We would like to thank all participants for their engagement and lively interest.

Two weeks later, LEGO-ALMA attracted a lot of interest again during the "Highlights der Physik", a very popular science fair in Germany, this year taking place in Hannover from 23th to 28 September. It was an exciting week of giving back to the public with a large variety of interesting discussions, plenty of hands-on demonstrations and hundreds of enthusiastic visitors, adults and kids alike.
