The Paranal Residencia

This award-winning building was designed by German architects Auer+Weber in a partially subterranean L-shape; the use of natural materials and colours allows the Residencia to blend into the Atacama Desert’s landscape. In the background on the left is the Very Large Telescope (VLT) atop Cerro Paranal.
