Postdoctoral Position in Machine Learning for Radio Interferometry

The Square Kilometre Array Observatory is inviting applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher in Machine Learning for Radio Interferometry at its global headquarters near Manchester.

The successful researcher will join an international collaboration in support of an ESO/SKAO-funded project aimed at developing deep-learning-based image reconstruction techniques for radio interferometry. The project will be based on ALMA data, with the goal of extending the developed algorithms for future applications with SKA telescopes.

This ESO/SKAO-funded study (PI: Michele Delli Veneri) builds on recent developments, including the ALMA development study BRAIN (PI: Fabrizia Guglielmetti).

The position has been highlighted in recent SKAO communications and will be of particular interest to researchers working at the interface of interferometry, machine learning, and large-scale data processing. The successful candidate will work in close collaboration with Dr Michele Delli Veneri and Dr Sarvesh Sridhar at SKAO. Further details and application information are available here.
