The European ARC Network invites users to an online training on Using ALMA archival data - A Primer on May 20th, 11:00 CEST [Zoom link].

In this tutorial, we will present a new ALMA document called Using ALMA archival data - A Primer. This document provides basic introductory information of how to use the ALMA data available through the ALMA Science Archive (ASA), including how to query, extract and scientifically exploit the content of the ASA. The aim is to assist readers with the exploitation of archived ALMA data by providing a concise summary of the data and practical examples that include CASA tasks.

The presentation will provide brief summaries of the contents of each chapter in the primer (but will avoid discussing the content of the chapters themselves).  Following this, we will hold a Q&A session discussing the document.  The Using ALMA archival data – A Primer document is accessible form the Cycle 9 Documents page and the Archive Documentation page.

The duration of this training session will be about one hour. If you have any doubts or questions, do not hesitate to contact the Italian ARC node at help-desk@alma.inaf.it.

Tutors: George Bendo and Kazi Rygl

Note: The tutors' presentation will be recorded and an edited version of the recording will be posted in the Science Portal [https://almascience.eso.org/tools/eu-arc-network/i-train] after the session. The interactive Q&A will not be recorded.
