Visitors with an UpA who are receiving a subsistence allowance from ESO have the option to join ESO's CIGNA health insurance. This coverage is limited to immediate and urgent treatment. Please note that the monthly cost is fixed and non-divisible, meaning it must be paid in full for each calendar month.
Important: The CIGNA insurance might not be sufficient for visa/residence of permit purposes.
If needed and depending on availability, an ESO furnished apartment, located in Garching, can be provided for up to three months.
In accordance with our internal policy, we will provide the most cost-effective return trip in economy class. The tickets will be flexible, allowing modifications, and will include checked luggage.
If you choose to arrive earlier or return later than the official visit dates, you will be responsible for covering any price difference between the duty travel dates and your preferred dates, if applicable.
