NOTE: The Health Check and calChecker services are moved to qcFlow on an instrument by instrument basis. The current pages will not be updated any longer once the move has been finished.
The links to KMOS, UVES, and ESPRESSO have been moved to a new section (qcFlow operational) at the lower part of the navigation bar.
The Derotator trending plots are monitoring UVES Resolution based on QC
parameters derived from Wavelength Calibration frames taken with the derotator
moving
in steps of 30 deg.
This set of calibrations is taken each 2 weeks and are used to check if
changes in the whole optical path.
The data are taken at 390 and 580 with a slit of 0.8 arcs.
Drot_resolution:
plots 1-3: resolution = f (ang of the derotator)
plots 4-6: rms_resolution = f (ang of the derotator)
plots 7-9: median of the FWHM of the selected lines
Drot_ThAr_lamp:
plots 1-3: resolution = f (ang of the derotator)
plots 4-6: intensity = f (ang of the derotator), this is the averaged
intensity of the lines used in the solution
plots 7-9: nlines = f (ang of the derotator), number of lines used in the
plots 7-9: resid_rms = f (ang of the derotator), sigma of residual of
line positions to fit
solution
The ThAr lines are identified by the pipeline and their average flux
(intensity, HC Drot_ThAr_lamp) is
calculated, lines with sufficient intensity (nlines, HC Drot_ThAr_lamp) are selected for polynomial fit

General information
Click on any of the plots to see a close-up version.
The latest date is indicated on top of the plot.
If configured,
data points belonging to the latest date are specially marked
statistical averages are indicated by a solid line, and thresholds by broken lines
outliers are marked by a red asterisk. They are defined as data points outside the
threshold lines
"aliens" (= data points outside the plot Y limits) are marked by a red arrow (↑ or ↓)
you can download the data for each parameter set if the 'Data downloads' link shows up
