Resting their eyes
At the end of the tracks on which they move, a 1.8-metre Auxiliary Telescope (AT) rests. Beyond, its larger siblings, the four slumbering Unit Telescopes (UT), complete the array of observatories that form ESO's Very Large Telescope (VLT). The VLT Survey Telescope (VST) peeks between the two far most UTs.
