Penteli Astronomical Station

Stars are the beauties in the greek night sky above the Penteli Astronomical Station, home of the Newall Refractor Telescope. The construction of this impressive marble building started on 1957 and at its centre stands a 5 metres tall concrete pyramid, on which the telescope rests. A rotating 14 metres wide hemispheric dome crowns the building.
