Dusk falls and work begins
The Very Large Telescope (VLT) is based out in the arid and isolated Chilean desert. The four unit telescopes and one of the smaller auxiliary telescopes are visible in this time-lapse. As night draws in, the telescopes are adjusted to point at different parts of the sky.
