Auxiliary opens
In the foreground we can see three of the four movable 1.8-metre Auxiliary Telescopes available at the Very Large Telescope (VLT), operating with the dome open, whilst in the background a strong green airglow is clearly visible. The ESO-operated VLT is based at the Cerro Paranal site in the Atacama Desert in northern Chile.
