Red skies over APEX
The 12-metre Atacama Pathfinder Experiment (APEX) telescope sits patiently beneath reddened skies. APEX is located high up in the Chilean Atacama Desert, on Chajnantor Plateau, which is also home to the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA).
