President of Czechia, Václav Klaus, visiting ESO's Paranal Observatory

On 6 April 2011, the ESO Paranal Observatory was honoured with a visit from the President of Czechia, Václav Klaus. In this photograph, taken on the summit of Cerro Paranal, the ESO Director General shows President Klaus and his wife Livia Klausová the nearby mountaintop of Cerro Armazones, selected as the site for the E-ELT.
