Science in School: ora disponibile il numero 44

L'ultimo numero della rivista gratuita Science in School è ora disponibile online e in formato cartaceo. Questa rivista europea per insegnanti di scienze offre informazioni aggiornate sulla scienza all’avanguardia, materiali didattici e progetti nel campo dell’educazione scientifica, interviste con scienziati e insegnanti, recensioni di libri e altre risorse, così come altri contenuti utili per gli insegnanti. Il suo fine è quello di promuovere l'insegnamento delle scienze, incoraggiando la comunicazione tra insegnanti, scienziati e chiunque altro sia coinvolto nell'insegnamento delle scienze in Europa.
Tra i contenuti principali di questo numero: un articolo sull’organizzazione dei “big data” nella biologia molecolare; una panoramica sull’Astro Pi challenge per le scuole e un affascinante articolo sull’evoluzione di nuove specie.
Le attività di insegnamento comprendono: esperimenti con banane per apprendere processi biochimici, l’utilizzo della sicurezza stradale come mezzo per insegnare la fisica e una serie di esperimenti chimici che comportano la distillazione di materiali di piante aromatiche.
Science in School è pubblicata da EIROforum, una collaborazione tra otto organizzazioni intergovernative europee di ricerca scientifica, delle quali fa parte l'ESO. La rivista è dedicata all'insegnamento delle scienze a livello europeo e interdisciplinare, con lo scopo di evidenziare il meglio nella didattica e nella ricerca all'avanguardia. È gradito l’invio di articoli per i prossimi numeri sia da parte di ricercatori che vogliono offrire una comprensione più approfondita di uno specifico argomento scientifico, sia da parte di insegnanti o altri educatori scientifici che desiderano condividere attività innovative per portare la scienza moderna nelle classi.
