ELT construction sequence (artist's impression)
ESO's Extremely Large Telescope (ELT) will be the world's largest eye on the sky, with a primary mirror 39-metres in size and located atop Cerro Armazones in the Chilean Atacama desert. This artist's impression shows a construction sequence, starting from the ELT's foundations and finishing with the completed telescope.
