Live webcasting for the ESO-hosted EHT 2022 event
On 12 May 2022 at 15:00 CEST, the European Southern Observatory (ESO) will host a press conference on groundbreaking new Milky Way results from the Event Horizon Telescope Collaboration (EHT). You can watch the press conference live on this page, or on ESO's YouTube channel.
If you are a media representative who would like to register to attend the event, either online or in person, you can do so using this form (deadline: 9 May at 23:59 CEST). Only registered journalists will be able to ask questions, and reporters on-site will have priority to query panellists during the conference, with reporters watching remotely also being able to send in questions. In-person individual interviews will also be possible immediately after the conference.
While only journalists will be able to query the panel during the press conference, ESO will host a question-and-answer session with EHT experts at 16:30 CEST for the public. This session will also be transmitted on this page and on ESO's YouTube channel. Members of the public, who don't need to register for this event, can ask questions on Twitter (#askEHTeu) or using comments on YouTube.
