The ESO Headquarters Extension and technical buildings

After more than 20 years of constant growth in terms of both numbers of Member States and ESO staff, the original Headquarters became too small to host all staff members working in Garching. Therefore, the architects Auer+Weber designed an extension, featuring an office building, a technical building and an enclosed bridge that connects the new buildings to the original Headquarters.
