Pan over ALMA array of antennas on Chajnantor as they move in unison
At the Array Operations Site on the Chajnantor Plateau at an altitude of 5000 metres above sea level, the ALMA antennas move in perfect unison. The snow in the foreground is a reminder of the extreme environmental conditions under which the ALMA antennas must work flawlessly.
