A family picture

This panoramic image does not only show the bright Milky Way in the sky above the Paranal Observatory, but also all four Unit Telescopes of the VLT simultaneously. In the background are even additional telescopes of the observatory visible: Three Auxiliary Telescopes on the right and VISTA, almost hidden behind one of the Unit Telescopes, on the left.
