Vem aí “Água: uma aventura cósmica” – um novo espectáculo de planetário

Os apreciadores de espectáculos de planetário poderão embarcar brevemente numa excitante aventura: a procura de água no Universo. No início de outubro, o Observatório Europeu do Sul, em colaboração com a Associação de Planetários de Língua Francesa (APLF) e o Planetário de Hamburgo trazem até ao público “Água: uma aventura cósmica” – um novo espectáculo de planetário, de 30 minutos, que acompanha a astrofísica Eva Luna à medida que ela explora as turbulentas origens desta molécula vital.
Animações em 3D realistas e imagens de cortar o fôlego irão levá-lo numa jornada fascinante até ao lugar mais seco na Terra, o deserto do Atacama, no Chile, onde os telescópios terrestres do ESO procuram planetas que contenham água, a molécula essencial à vida.
Lançado durante o ano do seu quinquagésimo aniversário, o espectáculo destaca as grandes conquistas do ESO, mostrando ao mesmo tempo algumas das imagens mais espetaculares do Observatório de La Silla, do VLT no Paranal e modelos 3D nunca vistos do maior olho no céu – E-ELT (European Extremely Large Telescope), o telescópio gigante que está a ser planeado pelo ESO.

Produzido por The Master Film Society, o espectáculo está disponível em inglês, francês e alemão. A banda sonora foi gravada em 5.1 surround digital e as imagens 3D 360° foram capturadas usando a câmara de vanguarda RED EPIC © 5K.
Os planetários interessados em mostrar este filme ao seu público podem pedir um dos formatos disponíveis:
- Vídeo em padrão “fulldome” resolução 4k x 4k, ou 1k para cúpulas pequenas ou móveis; compatível com todos os sistemas digitais “fulldome” (SkySkan, Evans & Sutherland, RSAcosmos, Zeiss, SkyPoint etc.)
- Kit de apresentação analógico clássico (imagens em alta resolução, panoramas completos do céu e imagens em formato janela).
- Vídeo “fulldome” 1.2 K para cúpulas pequenas ou móveis.
O espectáculo completo estará disponível também em 3D Estereoscópico e terá um conjunto de módulos adicionáveis de 10 minutos cada, dando a possibilidade de um pós-espectáculo com interatividade com o público. Os módulos planeados incluem tópicos como: o E-ELT, água em Marte, água na Terra, a equação de Drake e exoplanetas. Atualizações das questões científicas apresentadas durante o espectáculo estarão disponíveis após setembro de 2012 (somente no formato fulldome).
